Z is for Zara and that's good enough for me!

My current obsession is Zara. I've been so obsessed that I have downloaded the App on my phone. I am so obsessed I press the refresh button with the same enthusiasm as a child pressing the elevator button. Two things I'm currently obsessed with Leather pants and pants that look like I took my mother's thick curtains and made pants out of them.

FYI: they actually do feel like your mother's curtains! ( under 50)

You can find these awesome bad boys for under 80. For those animal lovers out there... These are not real leather but they sure feel like they are. The reason I love these is because they actually look like the real thing. I find that it's so difficult to find fake leather that doesn't look cheap and sleazy. No pretty woman cat calls here!

Back again... I abandoned my blog and it wasn't until that I saw some how my followers had increased, that I become encouraged to continue on.
A couple on months ago, I was filling out the application to return for my last and final year of undergraduate studies before my journey begins in medical school. I was asked by someone writing my letter of recommendation what I was truly talented at. I couldn't think of a single thing. Yes, I know my way around a book or two and can maneuver my way around a health insurance company. I realized then that I can SHOP!
I know every woman can shop but I have a special set of skills. I can find anything you want for cheap! not just cheap but insanely cheap.
I have returned to do just that!
My significant other is always on my case about shopping but how can he tell a girl who loves that new clothes smell that she can no longer do what she loves the most in this world! This is why I can make those 20 dollars stretch! Diane Von Furstenberg shorts under 50... DONE!!!

Loehmann's... Just saying it gives me goose bumps. I've been a gold member for a year now but today I found out they have a diamond membership. God I love that place

Rompers, Rompers, and more Rompers

Rompers, Rompers, Rompers... so many cute options so little time to wear them all. I found recently a very cute Romper at Anthropology.com. The first Romper I fell in love with because it has a can, can girl gone feminist. Lose the skirt, put on some shorts! I'm not nearly as daring as a Can Can Girl so I would pair this with a black cardigan and some demure flats... If I'm feeling naughty I would pair it with some black wedges. I feel it's sexier to see a woman showing some skin in the right place then someone who gives it all away in one shot.

 

 The Romper above is quite alluring. Doesn't it remind you of a 20s bathing suit. I can definitely picture myself wearing this while frolicking in the beaches of Coney Island.

 

Last post of the day I promise. This is a 1980s vintage Lanvin dress. It fits like a dream. I feel like it took us 25 years to finally get together. Again this dress was purchased at bluevelvetvintage.com. I'm actually going to wear it today. Heels or flats?

I've been a little obsessed lately with all things vintage, especially all things retro nautical. I recently purchased this little item from BlueVelvetvintage.com. I saw this dress while I was browsing and I fell in love. I didn't purchase it right away. Three months later I came across it again and since it was still available I knew it was fate. I wear this dress with my pair of vintage navy blue Manolo Blahniks. This dress set off my new found love for vintage dresses.

Nautical Love at First Sight

I Fell in love with these shoes today. I know, I know I'm the dress Guru and this blog is supposed to be about dresses. I feel that sometimes finding the right shoes is just as important as finding the right shoe. What usually ends up happening to me is that I buy a lot of basic non embellished shoes that will basically fit any dress. Every so often I find that one pair of shoe that I must have! THIS IS IT!
